Participant Information

Associated Students of WSU (ASWSU) Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana/o de Aztlan (MEChA) and the CASHE staff have projected to host 100+ students at Washington State University for this annual leadership conference.

There are a few guidelines to note when signing up for the CASHE conference:

  • There is no hard copy registration packet this year. The Registration Application is online only. If you need assistance, please contact the conference co-chairs or advisors.
  • If you have never participated in CASHE, then you will be the first priority to attend the conference. Our conference encourages all students to attend whether or not you have leadership experience.
  • If you have participated in CASHE, you will be put onto a waiting list and will be admitted to the conference when slots become available. This is to allow new students to this program a chance to participate.
  • Due to the large volume of applications, not all students who apply will be accepted to the conference. The registration team considers the applicant's essays, class standing and GPA when making decisions. CASHE staff reserves the right to make executive decisions on applicants based on the application, references (if applicable) and previous attendance to the conference.
  • Not everyone who registers for the conference will be accepted. If you do not get accepted this year, be sure to apply again next year!
  • There are special options for Seniors to take advantage of while attending CASHE. If you are a senior and would like to participate in the on-site review of your WSU application, you must:
    • Visit http://admissions.wsu.edu/applications/ to apply for admission to WSU. Be sure to apply online by October 14, 2022.  to ensure your application is processed in time for the conference.
    • Send official transcripts to the Office of Admissions PO Box 641067 Pullman, WA 99164-1067 or have your school fax them to 509-335-4902. (If you are unable to send them prior to the conference, you may bring them in a sealed, unopened envelope. However, you are highly encouraged to send them prior to CASHE.)
    • Have your ACT or SAT test scores sent directly to WSU from the testing agency.
    • Not all Seniors who apply will be able to meet with an admissions counselor during CASHE. Additionally, not all students who apply will be granted admissions to WSU during the conference. If you have any questions regarding the process, please see our "contact" page at www.cashe.wsu.edu and email one of the conference co-chairs.
  • Seniors are also eligible to apply for the New Heights, New Hope Scholarship which will be awarded to a Senior who is attending WSU in the Fall of 2023. The scholarship application is due no later than October 28th. The winners of two $1000.00 scholarship will be announced at the closing ceremony.
